Tea or coffee?

Soy latte! Always and forever—keeping me caffeinated and ready to take on the day. I’m especially addicted to the coffee at CatBird Café!

Do you exercise, and if so, what’s your favorite way to move your body?

I love the idea of staying fit and healthy, especially for my job. I owe a lot of my physical and mental strength to Jenifer Lee from Wildly Strong Woman, who has been my personal trainer for the past 10 years. She has truly kept me strong, both inside and out.

What drew you to Tina’s work in general?

I was immediately drawn to Tina’s photographic style—sophisticated, chic, and professional, yet candid. I had been following and admiring her work for a long time before I finally reached out to her.

What was this photoshoot for?

With an upcoming relocation of my hairdressing business, I decided it was the perfect time for a rebrand. A photoshoot was essential to capture the vibe of my new salon. The images Tina created became a key part of my website and staff profiles.

What made you gravitate toward hairdressing and becoming a salon owner?

I’ve wanted to be a hairdresser since I was young, and that desire has never wavered. After 20 years in the industry, there hasn’t been a day I haven’t loved what I do. As a true extrovert, I get my energy from being around people, which makes showing up for work every day effortless. I live and breathe hairdressing, and running the business is just the cherry on top! My father always told me, "Find something you’re good at and get someone to pay you for it!" In that moment, I realized that making people look and feel great was my calling.

What are your favorite aspects of the journey that led you to becoming a hairdresser and business owner?

One of my favorite parts of the journey is reflecting on all the wonderful memories—and even some of the challenges—that have shaped me into who I am today. Hairdressing has taught me patience, resilience, and compassion. The people I’ve met along the way and the conversations we’ve shared have become an integral part of my story.

What were your feelings on the day of the photoshoot?

The photoshoot was an amazing experience. Tina is a true professional, with everything perfectly coordinated and structured from the start. It was so reassuring to feel confident in Tina, especially while working with a large group of people (staff and models). The day went smoothly without a hitch, and Tina was always prepared with multiple options in case of any unexpected changes. We laughed a lot, smiled until our cheeks hurt, and comfortably posed through countless shots!

How did seeing the final images make you feel about yourself and your brand?

The pictures are perfection. The hardest part was choosing which ones to use on the website! Tina did an incredible job of capturing exactly the vibe I wanted for my brand. I even ordered a few extras to keep for myself. Everyone looks relaxed and happy, and I feel the images capture not just our outer beauty but our inner beauty as well.
